A NEW WELL FOR WUNLANG
Posted: 1/09/2010:
Beginning in October of 2008, and still continuing, the Missions Committee started a fund drive to help build a new well for the local people of Wunlang village in the Sudan, Africa.
The current water-well is used by the residents of Wunlang as well as their surrounding neighbors. It runs constantly from early morning late into the evening.
Some people walk as far as 30 miles to access it. And---now that the Wunlang school is happily up and running---the many students place additional stress on the well.
Simply put, it is critical and it is wearing out.
You can help install a new well in two ways:
-
Please place donations of RINSED Beverage Cans or Bottles (with Deposits) inside the large barrel in the vestry or,
- place monetary donations inside the tin beside it.
email Kimberlee Cloutier-Blazzard for details.
